A Short Story about Bob & Real Estate!!!
Bob's family (on his mother's side) started in the Real Estate business about 1914. Great-grandpa purchased 9 apartment houses in the Tremont and Robeson st. area of Fall River, Ma. along with a large farm & Victorian Home across from the present Durfee High School.
Grandpa took over the apartment complex in the 1950's and Uncle Isidore took over the farm.
In those days a landlord usually lived in his own apartment complex, along with his extended family. It was expected that a good grandson would want to learn the family business. Bob's parents were happy to see him learn from the ground up from his grandfather.
By 1973, Bob & his wife, Marilyn, purchased their own apartment complex across from Notre Dame Church in Fall River. After many years of managing and living in their own complex, the Fickle Finger of Faith struck. On May 11,1982 at 2:25 pm., The Church caught fire and by that evening it and all the buildings across the street ,including Bob's ( shown below) were ashes!

What seemed like the end was really a new beginning!
That evening Marilyn said: Now Bob, you can devote Full Time to Real Estate Sales! Not only has he been helping others to market or find a Home of Their Dreams, but Marilyn has been by his side every minute since!

* Massachusetts Broker's License 1970
* Rhode Island Broker's License 1983
* GRI , Graduate Realtor Institute 1986.
* Instructor, Massachusetts Licensing course for brokers and salesman Greater Fall River and New Bedford Area,1986/1987
* Director,Fall River Association of Realtors 1991 to present.
* Member of the National,Massachusetts and Fall River Association of Realtors since 1983.
* Real Estate Studies in addition to the Graduate Realtor Institute and the Council of Residential Specialist were taken at Bristol Community College, Stonehill College and American Association of Real Estate Appraisers.
Civic:
* Member of the Water Board from 1996 to 2008 amd finishing the term as President with Perfect Attendance .
* Service Club: Member of Richelieu International of Fall River.
* Junior Achievement: Instructor for 8th grade,Fall River Public School. JA helps children to understand the free enterprise system. Our rights to own private property etc.
* Visitor: Volunteer Visitor to area nursing home since 1985 to 2003.
* Past involvement with many other civic and charitable organizations.

Yes, Marilyn and I were as nervous as you! There are no stupid questions. Real Estate is my life and has been for years!
